 Steve, Mark, & Phil with Dylan, Kirsty & Ziggie (The Dogs) | A Happy New Year to everyone ! This year we ventured to Skiddaw and found the weather a little different from last year ! After leaving sunshine in the valley we rapidly ascended through the clouds to find snow & ice at the summit ! An excellant walk !
24/12/2006 - MISS POTTER MOVIE PROPS AT CONISTON TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRE
Miss Potter is the new movie released on 5th Janary 2007, telling the enchanting tale of Beatrix Potters early life. We supplied some of the props for the film which are now on display with one of the sets in Coniston, together with an exhibition showing how the film was made.

The 2007 Coppermines Grizedale Stages Rally will be on 8th December 2007 !

Our annual Bonfire & Firework Display is at Coniston Sports & Social Club from 6.30pm with a hot pot supper, licensed bar & live music ! Last year the fireworks lasted over half an hour and the bonfire all night ! ALL ARE WELCOME !
29/10/2006 - CONISTON POWER BOAT RECORDS WEEK 30th October 2006
Coniston Power Boat Records Week is the only event in the Powerboat Racing Calendar to bring together all classes of boat. Entry is open to all from tiny hydroplanes, through inshore circuit racers to the largest offshore boats. It is the finale to the racing season. Competitors and officials from all over the country assemble annually for what has been a popular event since it's inception in 1970

10/10/2006 - Willow Tree Cottage, Coniston Village Sleeps 2 - 4 (NEW OCTOBER 2006)
Pets are Welcome A lovely detached "bungalow" style cottage, built about 50 years ago with an enclosed garden, next to an open field and fully refurbished. Willow Tree Cottage is next to our cottages at The Bridge, near the centre of the village, but tucked away with good mountain views. All accommodation is on the ground floor.

A Victorian mid-terraced cottage, substantually refurbished. The small front cottage garden has trees, shrubs, barbeque and garden furniture and receives sun until late in the evening.
The countryside around has excellent walks up the Old Man of Coniston, some of the best mountain bike routes in Cumbria including the Walna Scar Road. Conistonwater is around 20 minutes walk away.
