30/12/2005 - Unusual Vehicles !


Our visitors reach us in a variety of ways, and this is the oldest mechanical vehicle to reach us -- so far !
The Woodhouse family, who have stayed with us for many years, drove all the way from Yorkshire for New Year, in this Wolsey which is 99 years old !

18/12/2005 - Rowan Trees, Green Cottages, Torver Village Nr.Coniston (2-6) - Newly Refurbished Bathroom



A deceptively spacious Victorian mid-terraced cottage in the small hamlet of Torver.
The cottage has been decorated by a local interior designer and textile artist to a very high standard, in a contemporary style. There is a nice small front cottage garden with trees, shrubs, barbeque and garden furniture, which receives sun until late in the evening.

Sleeps 2 - 6 ( Three bedrooms 2 NEW Shower/Bathrooms - one en-suite)
Pets Welcome
A smaller cottage ideal for a romantic weekend, with very attractive stained pine woodwork, a cosy sitting room with a log fire and exposed oak beams.
We have now refurbished most of this cottage and added Oil fired central heating and new bath/shower rooms

12/10/2005 - CONISTON VILLAGE FIREWORKS 4th NOVEMBER 2005


Our annual Bonfire & Firework Display is at Coniston Sports & Social Club from 6.30pm with a hot pot supper & licensed bar.
Last year the fireworks lasted over half an hour and the bonfire all night !
ALL ARE WELCOME !


28/09/2005 - CONISTON SPEED RECORDS WEEK - 30th OCTOBER 2005


Following the water speed ban on Windermere, the Annual Speed records week will be held on Conistonwater at the end of October.

We are pleased be able to help by providing complimentary accommodation for The Osprey Rescue Team.

If you are coming to the event, do give us a ring if we can help you with your accommodation.
